Raven's Notes: The Protagonist

The protagonist of the story is a hardened Detective, dealing with the plights of life as they come. He took on the case of the Magic Murders after being involved with another case, where a magic user was accused and convicted of a crime they didn't commit. They were taken from their family, and the Detective feels personally responsible. In combination with his failing marriage, his outlook on life isn't a pleasant one.

If he were to be described via D&D Alignments he would act as a Lawful Neutral, abiding by the law due to his career as a detective, but not in a zealous way. He believes that Magic Users are just people trying to live their lives, just like anybody else. His opinions aren't very strong, and finds highly opinionated people rather annoying. Deep down he is very passionate, and only wants to see people get what they deserve. It eats him up inside when the innocent are punished while the guilty are free to go.
